Biography
My journey as a songwriter started in my younger years, though I didn’t recognize it at the time. It began with poetry—simple words strung together to express what I couldn’t always say out loud. Over time, those words transformed into melodies, and music became my way of telling stories. My love for words and rhymes blossomed during spirited games of Boggle and Scrabble with my mom, moments that ignited a lifelong passion for language and the power it holds.
As much as I loved creating songs, I kept my work to myself for years. Performing felt daunting, and I found comfort in the process of songwriting rather than stepping into the spotlight. But during high school, everything changed. I nervously shared one of my earliest songs at an open-mic event, and a fellow student with dreams of becoming a singer approached me afterward. That moment planted a seed of possibility, though it would take years before I let it grow.
Like so many of us, life and societal expectations led me down a different path. I pursued a career in the health field, but the question of "what if?" never left me. Eventually, I realized that I couldn’t ignore my love for music any longer. Now, I embrace it wholeheartedly, channeling my life’s experiences into melodies and lyrics that feel as personal as they are universal. It’s a reminder to myself—and hopefully to you—that it’s never too late to follow your dreams.
My songwriting draws from the incredible tapestry of human experiences. I’ve always been an observer, someone who reflects deeply and feels intensely. Each song I write is a piece of my heart, shaped by personal stories, raw emotions, and the shared struggles that connect us all. I’ve never chased accolades or recognition; my greatest joy comes from the connection I feel with listeners who find comfort or understanding in my music.
My style leans toward laid-back folk and indie, with a timelessness that feels like home to me. But it’s not about fitting into a genre—it’s about honesty. My lyrics come from a genuine place, and I think that sincerity resonates with people. Through my music, I hope to create a space where we can all feel a little less alone, a little more seen, and reminded that even in a complicated world, we belong.
